Security Assessment

PSIG has teamed with QinetiQ North America to provide the best level of service and experience in providing Security Assessments.

QNA Logo QinetiQ North America delivers world-class technology and responsive solutions to government agencies and commercial customers for many of their most urgent and complex challenges. QinetiQ North America is an independent, innovative technology provider that earns over one billion dollars in revenue operating with small company speed and agility while leveraging significant global resources. More than 6,400 QinetiQ North America engineers, scientists and other professionals have the mission knowledge and proven, reliable performance to meet the rapidly changing demands of national defense, homeland security and information assurance customers.

PSIG’s security teammate has extensive knowledge of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), Homeland Security Presidential Directive 24 (HSPD-24), Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 201 (FIPS 201) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors policies. They have successfully managed the deployment and installation of prototype systems in demanding environments on a national scale. This included the deployment and integration of various “smart cards” tokens for the Department of Defense’s Common Access Card (CAC), GSA’s PIV card and the TSA Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and included the management of encryption keys, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates, revocation of credentials (Hot List) and the functionality of the credential in a given business case. This includes the integration of these credentials into the maritime industry and providing support with meeting federal compliance requirements.

In addition, our teammate offers a unique perspective of the TWIC program and the challenges that it presents to government, industry and the impact it can have on national security and commerce. Working with Stakeholders (Industry, Port Authorities, Government, TSA and US Coast Guard) they have provided innovate solutions to complex issues related to TWIC requirements. This work included the issuance of the TWIC credential and then applying the technology available to a business case that supported TWIC requirements; while balancing industry’s limited resources to implement a compliant solution to Federal requirements. This included work performed during TWIC Phase III (Prototype) and TWIC IV (Implementation).
